If you’re in the trucking industry, the place to be this March will be the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS). The annual event will be held from March 23 through 25 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Ky. According to MATS, it draws 70,000 attendees and more than 1,000 exhibitors from the United States and internationally.
The show adds that it will have 1.1 million square feet of exhibit hall space, exhibit hall space, educational seminars and special events. But, MATS asserts, it is more than just a mere trade show.
“MATS plays host to numerous exhibitor-sponsored events, including press conferences, concerts, hospitality suites, company luncheons, educational events, analyst/investor meetings, continuing education, discussion groups, technical sessions, receptions and numerous other events,” it states. “Just another way that MATS facilitates direct engagement between attendees and exhibitors, and provides opportunities to experience and learn about the exhibiting company and its products/services.”
The show also has its 27th annual PKY Truck Beauty Championship, which consists of the country's largest grouping of show trucks. “The event, which has become a star attraction at the Mid-America Trucking Show, celebrates North America’s heavy-duty, working show trucks,” MATS says.
The show also has earned strong testimonials from attendees, including Geoff Byford, the managing director of Geoff B2B Ltd., who has traveled from the United Kingdom to Louisville to attend. “The show is simply one of the best in the world and in my eyes not to be missed,” he said in a statement. “[It has a] great selection of exhibitors and show trucks and a great atmosphere.”
Kreigh A. Spahr, a program manager for the Cuyahoga Community College Truck Driving Academy also praised the show. “MATS has everything,” Spahr said. “With all the new regulations, technologies and equipment becoming available, MATS is the only place to see and experience it all. I have attended for over 20 years and find it exciting and new every time.”
